A VOCATION
EARLY
A first guitar received at the age of 6 was the precursor sign of a vocation that has only gone by asserting itself.
A childhood punctuated by Slavic and Gypsy melodies give him very early taste of music that he will study and practice in several music bands.
Called by new sound requirements and enamored by the “end” work of materials Vatroslav falls headlong into the lutherie.
It is in self-taught that he builds his first instrument at the age of 16 years.

LEARNING
IN THE PURE TRADITION OF CLASSIC LUTHERIE
The lutherie of the quatuor calls on many trades with innumerable facets.
For several years, during the manufacture, repair, restoration, exchange and meetings, Vatroslav will train and specialize in this particular building.
Fascinated by the jazz guitar, he will concentrate in the manufacture of these wonderful instruments with a table and a carved backplate.
He develops his own models and sets up his building process.

THE ARCHTOP GUITAR
The archtop jazz guitar represents for Vatroslav the quintessence of the guitar.
It is made in the purest tradition of quartet instruments and offers an extraordinary richness of sounds.
Popularized by Wes Montgomery, Grant Green or George Benson, the jazz guitar is the only one to offer this so characteristic sound.
From an aesthetic point of view, Vatroslav will bring his unique style through a particular design and refinement.

For over 25 years Masters luthier Vatroslav Sabolovic is passionately specialized and concentrated in the manufacture of jazz guitar with hand-carved soundboards and backplates.
We offer a range of 8 models each with its own sound and aesthetic identity.
Each instrument is unique and is made to order according to the options chosen by our customers.
Other carved table and back instruments are also produced in the workshop. Among them are Basses, Mandocello, Cello, Cavaquinho …
We also provide restorations of jazz guitars.
