CAVAQUINHO

The Brazilian Spirit in Solid Woods

Tradition reimagined

An emblematic instrument of Brazilian music — samba, choro, bossa nova — the cavaquinho is a small, bright-voiced instrument that carries rhythm and energy with ease. At Sabolovic Guitars, we bring a refined interpretation of this classic: a solid-wood cavaquinho, handcrafted to deliver far more richness, volume, and projection than standard factory models.

Premium tonewoods, hand-carved with care

Our cavaquinho is built exclusively from carefully selected solid European woods:

  • Solid spruce carved soundboard, for quick response and brilliant projection.
  • Solid flamed maple back and sides, adding clarity and resonance.
  • Carved flamed maple neck, ensuring stability and comfort.

Every detail reflects high-end craftsmanship: ebony or rosewood fingerboard, cream or tortoise binding, double headstock veneer with our inlaid bronze signature.

A powerful, vibrant voice

Unlike thin, lightweight commercial versions, our solid-wood cavaquinho delivers a rich tone with remarkable volume and projection. Its lively, dynamic sound ensures both strong rhythmic presence and expressive melodic playing — ideal for ensemble work or solo performance.

Comfort and playability

With a 34 cm (13 3/8″) scale length, 17 frets, and a 39 mm bone nut, this cavaquinho combines accuracy, ease of play, and ergonomic comfort. Perfect for fast samba strumming, elegant choro lines, or contemporary musical explorations.
