Following numerous requests, Vatroslav Sabolovic, Master Artisan of Fine Lutherie, now opens the doors of his workshop to those who wish to discover the secrets of guitar making and immerse themselves in an ancient craft.
For him, lutherie cannot exist without sharing and transmission.

Located in a spacious 120 m² workshop in a beautiful setting in Aussonne, near Toulouse, Vatroslav welcomes you to a truly unique experience.
Two programs are available:

🎸 The Building Workshop

Build your own archtop guitar inside the Sabolovic workshop.

  • Choose your model from our collection.
  • Step by step, craft an archtop guitar with a hand-carved top and back.
  • Leave with a one-of-a-kind, custom-made instrument that you built yourself.

Throughout the entire process, you will be guided by Vatroslav Sabolovic and fully immersed in the daily life of the workshop.
You will experience the tools, the precision, and the artistry of this highly specialized lutherie.

Duration: 240 hours (flexible schedule to fit your availability)
Price: from €12,000
👉 The fee includes:

  • Individual teaching and guidance
  • Plans, molds, and tooling
  • Access to machines and equipment
  • All materials (solid woods, fittings, consumables, hard case for the finished guitar)

Only electronic parts are not included, should you wish to equip your instrument with amplification.

🛠️ The Learning Workshop

Are you a musician who wants to maintain or upgrade your own instrument?
This workshop is designed to provide the exact skills you need.

Examples of training:

  • Complete setup and adjustment of your guitar
  • Bone nut fabrication
  • Fret leveling or full refret
  • Pickup or hardware replacement
  • Crack repairs and reglues
  • Varnish touch-ups and custom modifications

All machines and professional tools are available for your use.

Rates:

  • €150 per half-day
  • €270 per full day
    (excluding possible material costs)

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 9am–12pm and 2pm–5pm, by reservation only.
